There’s a fairly simple project that many homeowners can do for themselves that can be a nice refresher for the kitchen or bathroom on a property – installing a new faucet. While the instructions for installing a faucet will of course vary from model to model, (and we absolutely recommend checking out the manufacturer’s instructions before, during, and after installation) the general process for installing a new faucet is pretty simple.
First and foremost, turn off the water. This seems like a simple thing, but it can be easy to forget. Once the water’s off, remove the old faucet, and, if applicable, the drain as well. From there, it’s as simple as installing the new faucet and drain, and then restoring the water flow. You probably never thought that upgrading such a commonly used element in your house could be so simple, right? Why not give it a try sometime?
